Dog & Cat Supplements
Q: Why feed your dog a supplement?
+
A: Along with a balanced diet, a good dietary supplement is required in order for your pet to avoid disease and ensure good health and overall wellness. Although a balanced diet will provide a solid foundation, processed dog food alone cannot supply all of the nutrients necessary to fulfill your pet’s unique requirements. All animals have different nutritional requirement and factors such as age, activity level, environment and genetics that will greatly affect the absorption of nutrients from foods. It is therefore important to provide your pet with extra vitamins, nutrients and herbs which will assist the body to successfully work, grow and develop properly.

Most dogs with OA ultimately have stiffness or lameness, although structural damage may exist for some time before signs are apparent. Joint problems may have a gradual onset or may appear following minor trauma or excessive exercise. A good joint and cartilage supplement like MeridLife Premium Dog Supplement can prevent the onset of joint diseases and make dogs suffering with them, more comfortable.
Q: Where do you obtain your ingredients?

A: All of our pet supplement ingredients are U.S. based and naturally sourced whenever possible. Independent laboratory testing for purity and potency is performed on every single manufacturing lot. The MeridLife Premium Dog Supplement manufacturing facility is cGMP certified and meets the strictest international criteria for hygiene, safety and security.
Q: How do Glucosamine and Chondroitin work for your dog?
+
A: Glucosamine provides the building block of cartilage. Studies have shown that glucosamine helps to rehabilitate cartilage and reduce the progress of dog arthritis while lessening pain and increasing the mobility of the dog. Glucosamine is rapidly taken up by the cartilage cells and helps stimulate the synthesis of joint fluid and cartilage and is very safe with no known side effects.

Chondroitin is also one of the products necessary for the production of cartilage. It also slows down enzymes that are destructive to the dog’s joint. Chondroitin is added with glucosamine because it tends to enhance the ability of both substances to repair cartilage, as they work better together than either ingredient alone.
Q: How long does it take Glucosamine and Chondroitin to work?
+
A: Studies show a minimum period of 4-8 weeks continuous use of glucosamine is required to achieve maximum effects. Maintenance supplementation is required for long-term health benefits.
Q: What is the difference between Glucosamine (HCl) and Glucosamine sulphate?
+
A: Glucosamine Hydrochloride (HCl) and Glucosamine Sulfate both work equally well with dogs. The sulfate form was originally used in Europe. MeridLife Premium Dog Supplement is formulated with the HCl form, which has become more popular because it is purer and provides more available glucosamine per unit weight and contains much less residual ash.
Q: What is MSM and how is it useful?
+

MSM is one of the building blocks for creating chondroitin in the animal’s cartilage. MSM serves as a 'Synergist, Antioxidant and for Detoxification'. MSM supports the flow of the essential vitamins and nutrients to be more readily absorbed by the dog's cells.
